Some of our happy parents

"My son’s journey at The Waldorf School began in Grade 4 - he will be in Grade 8 next year.

The Waldorf School journey has been a truly wonderful experience for my son and a blessing for me as I have more confidence parenting an ADHD child. The dedication of the staff members and educators has made me comfortable and being a parent with a hectic travelling schedule, I know my child is in a safe and supportive environment.

The school assignments are never dreary or strenuous which I found with mainstream schooling! Instead, the assignments are more engaging, interesting and relevant to day-to-day life and cognitive development. There is also that hands-on aspect, be it a speech, written project or science project the kids are continuously stimulated – the outdoors excursions play a very important role for children like my son, who have a hard time learning from simply reading and listening. Oagile has grown more independent, emotionally and socially, and that is the best part of the “Waldorf Way of life”.
His teachers have been very attentive, and work tirelessly as a team to understand and encourage him to reach his potential. Most importantly, they are very observant and if interventions were needed, these were communicated in time! I can happily recommend the Waldorf Way of life - for parents with children with ADHD/ADD. You will thank me later. ☺ "

"My kids and I are so grateful to The Waldorf School at Rosemary Hill. As a parent, I very soon realised that I have sensitive, soft (different) children, and I knew that mundane school systems, teachers and other children would easily
break them by not understanding them.
From the start, they loved their teachers, and after five years, I can proudly say that they have developed into confidently strong, independent, happy, creative achievers

Both my children perform exceptionally well in outside activities and all thanks to the loving teachers that go out of their way to UNDERSTAND your child."

"My 4, 6 & 8-year-old children joined The Waldorf School at Rosemary Hill in the middle of this year. In the first 3 months, my children's imagination and creativity were cultivated

The teachers are nurturing and promote individualism. The school's culture of learning promotes an enthusiastic attitude in children, they enjoy learning through playing and art.
As a new parent, I was welcomed by staff members and have now become part of The Waldorf School family.

The school's open policy is a reflection of their interest in pupils' holistic development. "

"We are delighted to have found The Waldorf School at Rosemary Hill.
Our son is happy, healthy, physically fit, intellectually stimulated and well cared for.
Both we and our son love the integrated, age-appropriate, values-driven and challenging, yet supportive way in which learning is approached. The quiet, safe and beautiful farm environment is wonderful, and the fact that the children spend substantial amounts of time outdoors is giving them a chance to be healthy kids with a love of nature, something that few children in today’s world experience.

The family atmosphere and utter dedication of the teachers to their calling helps ensure that children are cared for as individuals, develop good social skills and are protected from the scourge of bullying that is so prevalent in many schools. As someone who keeps an eye on global trends, I am convinced that children who experience Waldorf education will be much better equipped to navigate the uncertain and turbulent waters of the 21st century world of work than their peers who attend more traditional schools.

"The Waldorf School is a school where children can be children again and develop at their own pace.
As an Educator and Therapist, I see lots of children with learning challenges because of the current school system placing too much academic pressure on them and creating too little opportunity for a child to develop through playing, creating, singing, learning rhymes and doing child driven activities. The Waldorf School is such a school and creates an accommodating atmosphere for children by implementing an international, well-researched model.

Both my children have blossomed since being at The Waldorf School, especially my son who would be very anxious and emotional in every school that we placed him in and was very reluctant to read and write, is now reading books on his age level as well as writing and then performing his own poems for total strangers. He is more motivated and positive as a person and have not once complained about going to school. He actually does not even want to go on school holidays!
I would recommend this school to anyone without blinking an eye.
We are very happy parents. "
